Overview

Looking to embark on an exciting career aboard a cruise ship? If your dream role requires STCW certification, this course is your ticket to adventure!

Our STCW Course for Cruise Ships program equips you with essential maritime qualifications, making you stand out as a top candidate for onboard positions. Pair this course with your professional skills, and you’ll be ready to set sail on your new career journey!

This comprehensive course includes three dynamic modules tailored for cruise ship roles, and we even offer accommodation to make your training experience smooth sailing!

1) STCW Basic Safety Training

  • Personal Survival Techniques: This course teaches how to survive at sea in the unlikely event that passengers and crew have to abandon ship.
  • Fire Prevention and Firefighting: Trains in fire prevention and fighting techniques on board a vessel.
  • Elementary First Aid: Provides basic knowledge and skills to give first aid onboard.
  • Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities: Focuses on safety regulations, accident prevention, and the safety of shipboard life.
  • Proficiency in Security Awareness: Trains crew members to maintain the vessel’s security and respond to security threats.

2) Crowd Management Training (for passenger ships)

This course teaches how to handle large groups of passengers during emergencies.

3) Crisis Management and Human Behaviour

The STCW Crisis Management and Human Behaviour course is required for Masters, officers, and other personnel responsible for passengers’ safety during an emergency.

If you are working on a Cruise passenger ship and are listed on the Muster list, you will be required to attend this one-day course.

This classroom-based course will develop skills and introduce ideas on managing people during an emergency, leading a team, and understanding how passengers react during a crisis. Your Instructor will teach you efficient techniques and provide real-life examples of what to do during a crisis onboard.

ENG1 Medical

If you plan to work at sea, you must have an ENG1 Medical Fitness Certificate to prove that you don’t have any serious medical conditions that could prevent you from performing your duties.

The ENG1 Medical is completed by an MCA-approved doctor, not Flying Fish.
